Stage 1

Mark where the headrail is to be fitted.

Stage 2

Position the brackets, either wall fix or top fix, and, using a pencil, mark through the holes in the bracket so that all brackets are on the same level.

Stage 3

The side of the bracket without the swivel would be fitted against the wall with the swivel at the top, if face fix application is applied.

Stage 4

The side with the swivel attached would be fitted against the top of the reveal if top fix is applied.

Stage 5

Fit the end brackets 100mm from the end of the track and divide the distance between the end brackets evenly so that the brackets are no more than 1000mm apart.

Stage 6

Fix the brackets securely using suitable fixings and move the swivel lever to the right so that it is protruding at 90 degrees to the bracket.

Stage 7

The front of the Roman headrail is fitted with the Velcro strip nearest to you at the top.

Stage 8

With the head rail slightly tilted down at the back, hook the front of the bracket into the front groove of the headrail, then raise the rear of the head rail so that it touches the bottom of the bracket.

Stage 9

Push the swivel lever from right to left until it is flush against the headrail. This secures the headrail.

Stage 10

For spring brackets, hook the headrail into the front of the bracket and push away from you until the bracket clips into place.

Chain Distance From Floor

The bottom of the chain must be at least 0.6m from the floor. This is to reduce the risk of the chain coming into contact with small children.

If your chain is less than 0.6m from the floor please contact us to request a shorter chain.

The roman blind chain gearing has a built in break-away device which results in the chain being released if excessive pressure is exerted on the chain.

The chain can be easily replaced if it becomes detached.
