Designer Curtains - Claim some creativity with curtains

Many of us tend to follow trends when it comes to our home and clothing – mostly because when we go shopping or look online there’s not much variety there if we’re out to achieve a really modern look.

However, it is possible to have a fashionable home or wardrobe and, at the same time retain some individuality, simply by ‘doing your own thing’ when it comes to seeking out major accessories such as curtains, blinds, cushions and other textiles.

Designer Curtains Can Compete With a Feature Wall

Those lucky enough to own a how large enough to have bay windows, French patio doors or any kind of floor to ceiling glass partition will appreciate the major role curtains can play in an overall décor scheme. In fact, in many cases with large windows, the curtains can become more of a focus than the feature wall. Or, both can co-ordinate to make the overall effect on the room even more dramatic.

Designer Curtains

Designers and Individuality

There are so many fabulous curtain designers around today to choose from that it can actually take quite some time to settle on a favourite fabric. A designer intent on staying in business will obviously bear fashion trends in mind but they’ll also have the confidence to add their own unique touches too. Take young UK designer Emily Burningham and her minimalist look coloured Japanese prints for instance, or Prestigious Textiles playing to the vintage England theme in their own unique fashion with their Novelty collection.

Other stunning curtain textile producers whose fabrics are always guaranteed to change the look of a room, regardless of its size or nature, include The Swedish Fabric Company (we particularly love their Arvidssons and bright Kinnamark collections), Clarke & Clarke (pastel and floral fans will love their La Dolce Vita collection) and the lovely Andrew Martin whose collections we find it hard to pick a favourite from but if pushed would have to go for the fabulous and rather wacky Spectator collection as well as the very lush and wonderfully tactful Velvet Revolution.

Bespoke Curtains Needn’t Cost the Earth

Nor should they break the bank (cue other clichés in a similar vein). Or at least they won’t if you purchase them from an online store such as our own at Curtains Made Simple.

Why we’re able to provide designer curtains at a much less expensive rate than the high street obviously comes down to overheads (we work from a studio in our own home) but optimization of our working process is also involved and so too is the fact you’ll be doing some of the work too by measuring your own windows and passing on those dimensions to us (although we’ll always be on the other end of the telephone should you need advice).

Once you’ve emailed or sent us the measurements we’ll work out the rest of the design details. All you have to do next is sit back and wait for that very exciting postal delivery.
