Bean Bag Chairs - How to Choose the Right Fabric
Bean bag chair – never has an object of seating been so singularly loved by householders everywhere. Why? Lots of reasons really but the main one is probably that beanbags are just so versatile. You can quite simply put down a beanbag in any room in the house and it’ll unobtrusively just lie there just waiting for someone to come along and sit on it.
They’re great for squeezing some seating into smaller spacer too. Teenagers love them in their bedroom (well, you know how they’re rather lie than sit at that age), and students too are rather fond of them.
Bean bag chairs Are Easy to Move Around
Another big plus about bean bags is that they’re easy to shift around from one room to another. That’s because, unlike say a sofa chair or settee, they’re not the slightest bit heavy.
And don’t worry about them spoiling the look of your interior design either. Beanbags can also look classy and fun at the same time, depending on the type of fabric you use and the stuffing.
And the best bit? They’re not expensive. Oh yes, we almost forgot – and kids love to sit in them too.
Easy Cleaning and Storage with Beanbags
Just as they’re easy to move around and fit into small spaces, beanbags can also be tucked away into the bottom of a wardrobe or squashed onto a closet when not in use (try doing that with a sofa chair!).
Cleaning-wise it’s usually just a case of removing the fabric and sticking it in the washing machine.
Designer Beanbags – They’re All the Rage
So have we convinced you that you could do with a beanbag yet? If not, take a look at some of the fabric available with which you could enhance your home beanbag-style. That’s because here at Curtains Made Simple we’ll happily produce
custom made beanbags
from a fabric of your choice. We’ve more than 100 different designer fabric ranges to choose from, some who produce fabrics especially for kids rooms such as
Prestigious Textiles’ Birdhouse in their Safari Park collection
, or even Ahoy in the
Pirates and Princesses
range.
Teenagers, on the other hand, may prefer
Design Forum’s Kaleidoscope collection
.
Mum and dad, meanwhile, will probably want something a bit more classy and sumptuous for their beanbag such as Prestigious Textile’s Ruby in velvet from their
Palladium collection
.
And, on the subject of velvet and soft, tactile fabrics, you could always opt for fun or even soft leather. Anything goes really.
Take Your Beanbag Outdoors
Yes, bean bag chairs make excellent temporary seating for a patio or decking area if one too many friends come round unexpectedly (and they’re often far more comfortable that those rattan patio chairs too).
Change When in the Mood
You don’t just have to stick with the same old look to your
beanbag chair
. Buy two covers and you can alternate whenever the mood takes you.
And if the above isn’t enough to persuade you to think about getting a custom made beanbag for your home then why not get a small beanbag for your cat or dog? They deserve comfort too don’t they? And it just so happens…
