Contract Curtains for Commercial Premises

Reception areas in many office blocks, leisure centres, libraries, schools and even your local NHS hospital these days are much more plush and co-ordinated than they have ever been in the past.

In fact you’ll find that most modern public waiting areas have a bright and cosy feel thanks to the chairs, sofas and coffee tables resembling those you'd find in your own home. So it's no surprise then that the quality of upholstery, curtain fabric and cushions these larger organisations are choosing has also improved at the same time.

Special Discounts for Bulk Orders

At Curtains Made Simple we offer major discounts of up to 30 per cent on current retail prices for bulk orders on all our made to measure curtains, Roman blinds, cushions and miscellaneous textiles. That's because we understand that brand identity often involves just one or two colours and for an establishment such as a hotel, having to order the same fabric for every room, as well as the reception area and dining areas, this can prove to be a very costly undertaking.

Clarke & Clarke’s Venetian Silk collection is an excellent choice for hotels and guest houses:

Co-ordinating with Existing Fabrics

If there's a particular fabric at home that you'd like us to try and match, or if you’d like us to suggest a contrast/co-ordinating design and texture for it, then we're very happy to do so, provided you can send us a sample - or at least a photograph and some details.

How to Choose Fabric

Investing in contract curtains, Roman blinds or bedspreads etc involves careful consideration because chances are you're going to have them around the office or waiting room for a number of years to come – seeing them every day. And that means it's not just the colours, pattern or the texture of the fabric you need to bear in mind but also the durability factor.

Ashley Wilde’s Berrington fabric collection in Raspberry would brighten up any waiting or reception area. Contract Curtains

Public areas receive a lot of traffic and no doubt the fabric is going to suffer plenty of wear and tear over time. There's also the possibility of tea, coffee, juice etc being spilled onto the fabric and potentially ruining its appearance. With this in mind then it's a good idea to get a material and design (ie patterned) which doesn't show stains easily and is machine washable.

Restaurant upholstery, of course, doesn't just have to cope with regular wear and tear from the public. There's also the matter of smells and, if the curtains are anywhere near the cooker, the possibility of fire.

Of course contract curtains aren’t the only option. These days fabric blinds – such as customized Roman blinds - are very fashionable; particularly in restaurants and hotels. These too can be by produced by us here at Curtains Made Simple Curtains and tend to give a room a certain chic look (while curtains provide a cosier option). We have a selection of designers to choose from including Welsh design house Elanbach, Prestigious Textiles and country vintage queen Cath Kidston.
