Vallila’s newest collection is all subtle colouring based on nature – flowers and woodland as well as a more unusual design taking inspiration from traditional Finnish housing. This family-run firm has been vibrant in the world of textiles since 1935 when it was founded by Swiss Otto Berner. But it wasn’t until the decade at the beginning of the millennium that it really started to grown, acquiring two lesser-known Swedish firms – Keha and Decohouse - establishing itself as a market leader in Finland with more than 20 outlets and a firm favourite of interior designers the world over. Its products now include wallpaper, furniture, carpets, rugs and even lighting.
