Spira is all about clashing patterns and colour combinations you just wouldn’t expect to see together on the one print. It’s creativity unleashed, as the two designers Susanne Kjöllerström and Lena Brunnsåker delightedly explain. They deliberately set out to put a rocket under traditional Scandinavian design to bring what they describe as ‘personality’ to a home. And their influence doesn’t just stop at curtains and cushions. Their designs can also be found on headboards and pouf’s. Both women enjoy a hands-on approach to their fabric printing company, which is based in Rydboholm, a small village in Swedish famous for its textile traditions.
